Jury Process Resources

Member Information

  • All members have several works on display at all times, plus additional storage space for at least 5 large framed pieces and 10 matted. Cards and books can also be sold. Potters and sculptors have generous display space.
  • Members can have individual shows at least every other year.
  • Dues are $65 per month. A 30% commission on sales is taken by the gallery for work sold from the gallery and 10% for referrals.
  • Member duties include one day a month staffing plus a small (or not so small) additional job that is about 6 hours a month.
  • There is a $60 initiation fee, a $25 self-insurance fee and a $20 returnable key deposit.
  • There is no jury fee.

We are interested in artists:

  • With creative ideas for interacting with each other and the public.
  • Who can cooperate with a community of artists.
  • Working in any standard media: painting, prints, photography, mixed media, clay, glass, stone, wood, etc. Jewelry considered on an individual basis.

Delivery: The week before the jury during business hours. W-F 11 to 4 and S & S 10 to 3.
Pick up: The week after the jury during business hours.
Please pick up ASAP. We have very little storage.

Entries:

Submit five recent pieces of the same medium, which represent a body of work that is cohesive in style and technique. They need to be ready to be hung on the wall or displayed on a pedestal. Framing should be in a style compatible with the gallery. You may submit up to three different media (5 cohesive pieces in each medium in which you submit). Please include a resume or other information about you, your art, and skills you can contribute to the gallery. We must be able to lift your work. Digitally produced work must be archival.
