Press Release

Photographer Jeff Klingler explores the beauty of common, everyday objects in his project, The Untitled Artifacts in Your Life. You will recognize the "artifacts" from our daily lives that are captured in Klingler's black and white images, but have you ever noticed their simple beauty?

"Probably not," says Klingler. "We tend to look for beauty in the exotic or unusual, but overlook the beauty that surrounds us everyday in the most common of objects. Simple things created to perform mundane tasks actually have an elegant beauty of their own. The purpose of much of my work is to draw people's attention, and appreciation, to the unnoticed beauty around them."

Klingler's work is entirely black and white using classical "wet"photographic techniques. All of his photographs are hand crafted in his darkroom on archivally prepared silver gelatin papers.
