A native of California, Teresa Silvestri resides in Belmont with her husband and their three rescued dogs. After receiving a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration and enjoying successful business careers in the corporate world, she took her first art class in 1999. Teresa was instantly captivated by the beautiful transparency of the colors and the challenges of the watercolor medium.

Her representational painting style is known for its softness, utilizing many layers of washes and glazes. While she enjoys painting all subject matters, she is best known for her animal paintings and specializes in pet portraits from clients’ own photos. Teresa has won numerous awards in local and regional shows, including “Best of Show” in Watercolors at the San Mateo County Fair. She has exhibited her work in numerous solo and group exhibits, including invitational exhibitions at Filoli in Woodside and the Society of Western Artists Annual Exhibition in San Francisco.
